What we collect
- LinkedIn profile basics. When you sign in with LinkedIn we receive your name, email, profile picture and LinkedIn member id, via LinkedIn's OpenID Connect.
- Content you give us. Your headline, background, audience and goals; any posts you paste in as style references; and, if you upload it, your LinkedIn data export (roles, skills and your own past posts).
- Content we generate for you. Strategies, drafts, first comments, images and carousels.
- Performance figures you enter. Impressions, reactions and comment counts you choose to log.
- Media you upload. Any image or PDF you attach to a post, and your company logo if you upload one.
- Your company website. If you give us the address, we fetch its public pages to learn what your company does — and its brand colour and logo — so posts stay accurate and look like you.
- The drafts we wrote before you edited them. We keep the original alongside your edited version. The difference between the two is how we learn how you actually want to sound. It is never shown to anyone else and never leaves your account.
- Account and billing records. Plan, trial dates, credit usage, and payment identifiers from our payment provider.
What we never do
- We do not scrape LinkedIn, and we never access anyone's profile but your own.
- We do not read your LinkedIn messages, connections or feed.
- We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not post anything you have not approved.
How we use it
To generate your strategy and posts, to publish them to your own LinkedIn profile when you approve them, and to improve what we generate for you specifically. We never use your data to train third-party models.
Industry benchmarks — off unless you turn it on
You can opt in to contribute your results to anonymised industry benchmarks. It is off by default, it is a single switch under Insights, and turning it off stops any further contribution immediately.
When it is on, this is exactly what happens:
- What is pooled: engagement ratios only — reactions and comments as a proportion of impressions — grouped by post format, approximate length, day of week, and the shape of the opening line (for example "opens with a number").
- What is never pooled: your post text, your name, your employer, your LinkedIn account, your raw impression counts, or anything that identifies you or your company.
- Minimum group size: no figure is shown to anyone until at least five separate accounts and twenty measured posts exist in that industry, so no number can be traced back to one person. Groups smaller than that are withheld entirely.
- Reciprocity: benchmarks are visible only to people who contribute. If you opt out you see nothing, and nothing of yours is used.
Aggregated benchmarks are not sold, licensed, or shared outside the product.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors, and only for the purpose named:
- LinkedIn — to authenticate you and publish posts you approve.
- Our AI provider (OpenRouter, and the model vendor it routes to) — to generate text. Prompts contain the profile and reference material you supplied.
- Dodo Payments — merchant of record for purchases; they handle card data, we never see it.
- Resend — to send you account email, such as a reminder that drafts are waiting. Your email address and the message are all that is shared.
If you supply your own AI API key, generation is billed to your account with that provider and is subject to their terms.
Storage and security
Your LinkedIn access token is stored so scheduled posts can publish without you being present. Tokens are held only as long as your account is connected, and disconnecting LinkedIn deletes them immediately.
Access tokens and any AI key you supply are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM under a key held separately from the database, so a copy of the database alone does not expose them. Everything else — your drafts, strategy and uploads — is stored unencrypted on an access-controlled server.
We use one cookie, be_session. It identifies your logged-in session and nothing else. There is no advertising, tracking or third-party cookie anywhere in the product.
Where your data is held
Data is stored on servers in the region we deploy to, and is processed by the providers named above, which may be located outside your country. Using the product involves that transfer.
Who can use Poised
You must be 16 or older, and old enough to hold a LinkedIn account under LinkedIn's own terms.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from the Account tab, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your profile, strategies, drafts and tokens. Posts already published on LinkedIn remain on LinkedIn — you control those from LinkedIn directly.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of account deletion, except records we must keep for tax and accounting.
